About Me

I’m Ingrid — RN, educator, wellness nurse, mindset mentor and author based on the Sunshine Coast. For over a decade, I’ve taught health, nursing and aged-care. I believe that small, nurturing actions can have a big impact on an individual’s and team’s wellbeing.
I blend nursing practice, therapeutic horticulture principles and mindset coaching to help workplaces and aged-care teams slow down, notice, reflect and reset through simple, nature-led practices.

My Story

I grew up playing in the garden, and as life unfolded, I found myself returning there whenever things felt tough.
When I was stressed, I’d wander outside, sit quietly, pull a few weeds or plant a seedling and feel my breath soften.
The garden became my first teacher: slow down, take notice, care for small things, and they grow.

I trained as a registered nurse and later as an educator, carrying that same lesson into hospitals and classrooms; small, consistent actions make the biggest difference.
Along the way, I began sharing my love of edible gardening online, teaching others how to grow food at home. What people remembered most wasn’t the harvest, it was the joy that gardening brought. But something deeper kept calling me.

So I began weaving it all together:

  • My nursing lens

  • Therapeutic horticulture

  • Mindset work

  • And the down-to-earth craft of gardening itself

Today, I create nature-led education and activities that meet people where they are;
teams under pressure, carers running on empty, residents needing meaningful, sensory engagement.
We can’t escape life’s challenges, but we can plant seeds of success by using nature to co-regulate, make kinder choices, and build daily rituals that last.

What I Believe

  • Nature regulates us. A leaf, a scent, a texture; small sensory moments can shift a whole day.

  • Wellbeing should be possible. Low prep, repeatable practices beat big, complicated programs.

  • Safety first. Nurse led means evidence informed, inclusive, and psychologically safe.

  • Change grows in tiny steps. One mindful garden activity, one quiet breath, one gentle check in.

  • Joy matters. Laughter in the soil, pride in a sprout; joy is medicine.
